Andy Boroughs - Trials And Capability Delivery Manager
We are thrilled to announce that Andy Boroughs has joined our team as the new Trials and Capability Delivery Manager.
Andy is from Pershore in Worcestershire and has an impressive career trajectory. In 2011, he began his professional journey by joining the British Army, serving with the Army Air Corps. During his time in the military, Andy worked on various rotary and fixed-wing aircraft, including the Apache, Gazelle, Lynx, Wildcat, Chinook, Merlin, and Puma, to name just a few.
After leaving the Army in 2018, Andy transitioned to the UAS industry, starting at Team UAV. His dedication and hard work led to a significant career move to Dendra Systems, where he quickly advanced to the role of Field Operations Manager EMEA. At Dendra, Andy was responsible for operations development, conducting global operations, opening offices in Australia, building out operations teams in multiple locations, and implementing new UAS technology throughout the business.
In 2023, Andy took his expertise to Animal Dynamics, where he test flew and managed the operational deployment for the heavy-lift parafoil UAS for the Stork series, handling a max take-off weight of 300kg.
Seeking new challenges in the defence sector, Andy joined Overwatch Aerospace at the end of 2023 as the Trials Manager. There, he arranged demos, attended large-scale exercises in the UK and abroad, and operated a loitering munition with a 1.5kg warhead, significantly broadening his UAS experience and skill set.
Outside of work, Andy loves to travel across the UK and abroad, hike whenever possible, go to the gym in his spare time, and spend quality moments with friends and family.
