Our long endurance UAVs reduce the time required to survey potential locations both for pipeline construction and site access for large scale projects. Delivering significant savings over helicopters or fixed wing aircraft and providing greater detail thanks to a suite of available sensors and payloads and the ability for UAVs to fly at a much lower altitude safely. High Endurance UAVs

When it comes to surveying prospective oil fields, pipeline routes or gas sensing across large landscapes the range and endurance of the UAV is crucial. That’s why we partnered with Intelligent Energy to produce our long-endurance hydrogen fuel cell powered UAVs. By extending the flight time by 4 or 5 times that of an equivalent battery-powered UAV we have also extended the range of a gas sensing survey by 4 or 5 times meaning we can survey larger areas more quickly. Hydrogen fuel cells are also quick to refuel reducing down-time between passes, and you won’t need to transport spare batteries to site.

Time Efficiency

Wasted time on-site is money down the drain, UAVs can fly in a wide range of conditions thanks to collision avoidance and autonomous or semi-autonomous flight systems. Quick on-site refuelling, autonomous swarm capabilities and extended flight times make UAVs the ultimate time-saver for gas surveys. Compared to manual surveys carried out on-foot, UAVs represent a huge time saving. UAVs are also considerably cheaper to run and maintain than traditional methods including helicopters and aeroplanes and have a reduced impact on the environment and require considerably less site preparation before gas surveys can be conducted.

Workforce Safety

The use of UAVs also improves worker-safety. Gas sensing surveys often take place in dangerous locations and may expose workers to toxic and noxious gases and chemicals that only very sensitive equipment can detect.
